TIRE SIZE QUESTION
I HAVE A LTR450 AND I BLEW A BACK TIRE. I RIDE IN ROCKY AREAS SO I DONT WANT THE STOCK TIRES ANYMORE. THE TIRES I WANT ARE MAYBE SOME HOLESHOTS FOR A HARD SURFACE. THE REAR STOCKERS ARE AT18 x 10 R8 AND THE FRONTS ARE AT20 x 7 R10. ALL THE NEW TIRES I WANT ARE 20x11-9, 20x11-10 (6-ply), OR 20x10-9, 21x11-9 (6-ply). WHEN I CHNAGE OUT MY REAR TIRES I WONT CHANGE THE FRONTS BECAUSE THERE STILL GOOD. MY QUESTION IS; DO THE REAR TIRES HAVE TO BE SMALLER THAN THE FRONTS? WILL THERE BE ANY PROBLEMS IF THEIR THE SAME SIZE? THANKS GUYS.

no the rear doesnt have to be smaller than the fronts, if you do go larger then you will gain top end speed and loose the low end torque unless you regear the bike, you will have to smaller in the front or larger in the rear to keep the same ratio you have now
this might help you a little on regearing for bigger tiresgearing
