if you changed the back tires to 20s and geared in down a little could the new 450 be a good trail bike? im about to buy a new quad and its either going to be a ltz450 yfz450 or the rapppy 700. any info

The 20's will give another inch of ground clearance and will help a bit on trails. The only thing that is missing is reverse which definately helps in tight spots. The width of the ltr isn't a problem at all for me as I'm used to flying through the woods with a lifted 4x4. I'm riding mine mostly on wooded trails (stock) and so far I'm going where all the other sport bikes are going without a problem. To some the ltr doen't sound like much of a trail quad but in the same light neither does the yfz IMO. With that being said, the answer to your question is yes.

Thats what I did with my LTR . 20s in the back and 13 tooth front sprocket . Its just as good of trail quad as all the other sport quads . You also need , and I do mean need , a rear swingarm gaurd . Goodluck with your decision , Im happy with mine !
