Ltr 450 vs. Trx 450
I think the ltr450 wins stock for stock, but when it comes to highly modded mx ready vehicles, they are so highly modded, they are basically the same performance, but the zuke also has efi, that means better throttle, response, always perfect response
but with the yfz and the 450r, you race em say,
-both have new susp, works shocks?
-fmf powercore4 on both?
-k&n airfilters and powerlids?
-modded gearing to make perfect for track
--- you basically have the same quad, same weight and width too, just diff plastics, diff motor, but exact same performance, when your that highly modded, they are all about equal, it all comes down to your preferences, me, i dont like to mod vehicles unless its really simple, i hate having to rejet, i would go with EFI

The problem with stock vs. stock is that nobody races mx on stock machines. It's kinda pointless to make that comparison.
Once you compare race modded vs. race modded, all the 450's are competitive. There's no one clear winner. Although there are a lot of red ones on the podium...

did ya see the artical on the o7 trx450r ? looks even faster! looks like full crf engine just needs the cam! i asume it is very simular to the 06? its real strong too! even with our 05 ported and polished with the je hc piston we still have to ride our butts off ta keep up with the 06 s , of course we beat them all (but one guy) oopps

i guess it all comes down to which colours and graphics you like,
i kind of doubt the honda trx450r is very reliable, well at least compared to the 400ex and my bomb
isnt the ltr450 supposedly the cheapest one to make race-ready out of all the 450s, cuz on the others you have to widen them, get new shocks, and you still have to get exhaust and stuff, in canada, all the 450s cost the exact same
ltr450 9999 cdn$$
trx450er 9999 cdn $$(r is 9899)
yfz450 9999cdn $$

so you have to adjust the valves after each long day of riding or every 10 hours, is that true for every 450, cuz that would suck, do you have to take off the plastics and gas tank to adjust valves or jsut reach in with wrench? i would never get a 450 if you had to adjust them so much, unless its just as easy as changing oil or only simple but time consuming.
i was tlaking about the lt-r450 (suzuki) all along and about how wide it is, dont most ppl widen their quad to wider than 46" when they race
