Hi...my 07 eiger with 25 km is backfiring at high speeds when I let off the throttle....I really didn't want to make a trip to the dealer before the break in period. Any suggestions are appreciated...thanks.

 

My '02 did the same thing when it was new. It went away once it got broken in.

nah, too lean.

it's exhaust temp that's too high. When you fatten up your jet, temps go down, less backfiring.

OR it could be the idle circuit screw is turned out too far, but that's not very likely.

Whenever I'm up in the MTs, less air, richer mix, less backfiring (mostly when I kill the engine). Down at the coast, more backfiring 'cause of leaner mix.

 

Let me ask you a question, is it backfiring at high speeds or at high rpms?

 

Hmmm... I have that same problem with my new 350 ever since i took the spark arrestor out i've noticed it back firing.

 

It is backfiring at high speeds when the throttle is released....4th,5th gear..
