Default Just Jetted my Eiger

I just got mine back from the shop, had it jetted, piped and had them put it on the dyno. I also put on the tires, wow what a diffrence, no more choke. The HMF pipe is way to loud, I though that dealer order the quiet core with it but they didn't so it should be here in a week or so. There is so much more power low end. It lost a little on the top end, takes about an extra 50 yard or so to top out but I gained almost 2" of ground clearance. I cant wait to get the quiet core but till then I will just have to deal with it.

DDDonkey,
Excellent news. I am not to far behind you. Should have mine jetted in the next week or so. Can you please keep me posted on the quiet core HMF pipe? I am waiting to hear from someone who has added it and how quiet it is. They show 2 options, a single quiet core or a double. Which one did you order to have installed?

on Edit: I called today and HMF does not have a 2 core quiet option. This is only for dual exhaust like the big big bore quads. So it is only a single core for our little 400's. Please let me know when you have it on and running. I do not want an obnoxious exhaust.

Thanks

I have the HMF exaust on my eiger, and yes it is very loud. Its fine for me since I only ride on private land, althought hunting season is around the corner so a quieter exaust may be in the future.

Just got back after a weekend of riding after my Quad Works Stage 1 jet kit was installed. My Eiger runs the best it has ever ran. I could start it at 5000 feet. It Idled without dieing. Once warm I could shut the choke off. When riding up and down some hills it had a lot more noticeable power. I think this 100% confirms the Eiger is just set up from the factory off. With a few bucks and sometime you can make it run very well. This could be an emissions issue as well. WHo knows.

Like I've said before, with the right mods, you can really wake up your Eiger. I know I have. And I know there's still power to be found. Can you imagine the difference you'd feel if your Eiger 400 was putting out as much power per cc as a stock Z400? It's entirely possible. It's a very advanced 4 valve design, not some 2 valve turd. Even with a lower compression ratio, we should easily be able to catch up to what the Z is producing stock.

Can I get a 'Hell Yeah!"?
