Default Advice for big bore options

I curently have a 2004.5 polaris 700 and i like it but was thinking about selling it and getting a new big bore utility. I am really leaning towards the King Quad. I am just wondering if the difference will be worth the hassle. The things i like about the KQ is that it is lighter and more nimble. The Polaris is great in the rocks and i love the ground clearence but hate the extra weight. Does anyone have any experence with both of these machines? Any advice, or other options on this topic would be great thanks.

I will let you know what i think of mine ( 2007 King Quad) after Nov. 4th. That will be its first trip to the trails for a long day of riding..
I only rode my friends 05 King Quad for about 10mins that was enough for me to go out and buy one.. ,and I was looking into getting a Kaw Brute Force(so glad I didnt).. My brother is a Polaris man. I never really rode one enough to say anything good or bad.

So did you ever make up your mind on a quad yet??
Finally got to trail ride my KingQuad, Im very impressed with it so far, nothing bad to say about it, Excellent engine braking, soked up the bumps very nice, plenty of power even in high range 2wheel up hills. The stock tires work very good except when going up steep rocky hills it was better to push the 4x4 button to keep the rear end from slipping all over. I put 74miles on it road it hard for being new.. Im very pleased with it..

I am following this thread. I am considering a KQ also. I have a 2004 Eiger but really want EFI. I was very interested in the new KQ 450 however it is darn near the price of the 700 KQ. So why not get the Big Bore.

I wnet today and looked at all 3 big players I am considering, Yamaha Grizzly, Suzuki KQ and Kawasaki Brute Force. All were the 700 models.
The Suzuki was the best in my opinion.
I am not sold on the power steering concept. that system seems suspect and prone to damage offroad.

I am with you it is hard to get any real life opinions. I am definitly not interested in the BF. I am very concerend with the handling problems i have heard about. And there is somthing about the feel of the Griz that is just not comfortable to me. Though i havent ridden the new 700 yet. So in my mind it is either the KQ, Polaris 800, and if I could afford it the Can Am 800. I really like my 700efi polaris but it is just getting a little beat. Though it has been a prety good bike it just has some little quality issues that the other bikes dont seem to have.

I dont think you would go wrong in buying a Grizzly if it was a 06.. I was thinking the same thing when looking at them and reading about them.. The Pwr. Steering , EFI just a few things that made me wanna stay away, I hate to be the ginny pig for anything new. Since my buddy has a 05 KQ and they didnt change much if anything really on the 07's . Thats what made my decision, I figured he hasnt had any trouble out of his so I took the chance and got a 07. I dont have many miles on it yet, and only 8hrs. ,but so far so good. I think I made the right choice..

So I went back again today. I think based on the fact that the KQ is in its solid 3rd year that I am sold. I like the ergonomics of the KQ. The EFI seems to be problem free and that is what I really want. I honestly do not care for the name of it much but hey...whats in a sticker on a gas tank. I have had excellent performance with my Eiger so I think I will take the plunge. Now comes a color choice problem.

Black is cool but scratches like a black dog
Camo is expensive and I do not hunt to that degree where I need it
Green is OK
Red is OK.

Hmmmmm.
