07 Suzuki Eiger Automotic HELP!!
I just bought an 07 Suzuki Eiger automatic. When I slowly accelerate, just at a steady pace, no rapid acceleration, the quad makes a high pitched rattling noise like metal rapidly tapping metal. It sort of sounds like an alarm clock - the ones that make a ringing type noise. It usually occurs around 15 - 20 mph, and it does it in low gear at lower speeds as well. If you accelerate a little or deccelerate a little when its making the noise, it will stop, but as soon as you get the rpms to that point again the noise starts again. I took it back to the dealer and they said that it is in the clutch housing and they claimed they checked it and nothing is damaged - it is all working fine. This is my first automatic atv...is this normal?

I think my quad makes a similar noise while my wife's doesn't. I probably broke mine in a little more aggressively than she did and that's why... dunno, but see if you can play this little movie I made last summer:
MOVIE
Is the noise you hear while I'm coasting down the hill the noise you're talking about?

Oh, I think I know exactly what you're talking about now... check all of the little bolts that hold the heatshield over the exhaust starting at the header all the way to the tail pipe. About twice a year, I have to take a torx driver and tighten them up on my wife's machine because it'll start making that noise. It starts out as a buzzing noise, then if I don't tend to it within a ride or two, it'll rattle just the way you describe. The bolts don't really seem loose enough to make that noise, but giving them a little twist takes care of it for a while.
