Is there any mods out there to help get gained power on the King Quad to the wheels? Like transmission mods to help get some more power to the wheels.

Are you aware of the various clutch kits available? After clutching and intake/exhaust/fuel recalibration, you have to wait for the VDI Copperhead at hopefully the end of the month.

Seems like those vaporware ECM replacements that will supposedly cure all KQ ills and turn the KQ into a BF killer are always due out "at the end of the month" or are "in the final testing phase". I wish someone would just release the damn thing. As the old saying goes, either <expletive redacted> or remove yourself from the waste handling equipment.

Are you on the up-and-up with what VDI is doing, CaptainQuint? I very much believe them when they say "soon." Maybe there will be another delay or two, but hey, it will be worth the wait eventually. I probably won't get mine until Christmas anyway, after I've seen plenty of other people try it out.

I was interested in the clutch kits but don't they give mostly low end and not top speed like i was looking for. How much top speed do those kits take away?

Last I heard anything it was supposed to be released by September or October and was supposedly undergoing testing. Which is the same story I've heard from every other manufacturer since ....well...forever. To me it's vaporware until I can get my grubby boogerhooks on it.

I personally know several KQ owners who are dying to get their hands on one if it fixes the lag and other ills. I might pick up a used KQ as a back-up machine if it lives up to the hype.

newhollandtractor: yes, clutch kits are for more low-end and acceleration. Cpt.Quint, end of November is what they're saying now, but according to them, all they are doing now is tuning so I believe it. What reason would they honestly have to lie about it?
