what kind of riding are you planning on doing. if your trying to have the fastest bike ,well save your money. yes , you can make them real fast but with alot of $ and realiabilty goes down with it.my bikes pretty quik 4 what it has done to it,it will hold its own with any stock 450. but i knew if i want bad a$$ power id have to get something for it--i.e. banshee. so if you do alot of trails and stuff like that. all these 450 guys can talk crapabout power but id ride my kfx any day over a 450 on trails.since u have a 05' has the clutch cover ever been checked?? they had a recall on them. whatch your cam chain , they tend to get sloppy. other than that i love my bike .

The best thing to do when somebody comes into another forum and bashes is just to ignore them.. If it's good constructive input then it should be welcomed.. Keep the topic in mind and move on to the next constructive post..

look at a set of cams, bigger carb a good +. if your going to do porting or big bore you'll need 1 . i have a 05' yfz 39mm carb i got off ebay for $150 , im still running a stock bore just 13.5:1 piston (race gas). yfz carb easy to rejett!!! cdi !!! if u do alot of trail riding drop you front sprocket down 1 tooth. more torque,u do lose alittle top end.

Yo craptor i can guarentee that my z400 will who on you 700r anyday. Draging or in the woods ive dragged against bored out raptors both 660 and 700 before being bored and they dont stand a chance. You talk about your raptor being so great its 300cc's bigger than most z's My z is 260cc smaller and i can guarentee that it will blow your raptor away. After i got done with the bog bore, borring it, installing nitous i can break 100mph anywhere your piece of shiet wont stand a chance. Any i also have a quadzilla that stays together like its job that im sure wouldnt mind beating some craptors anyday.

Yoshi, your a hoot. I love this forum I should have joined years ago. If you really think that a z400 built to the gills will out run a 700R built to the gills or for that matter the 450 or 660 youve got to have some screws loose. Just face the facts, suzuki gets parts out of kawisakis dumpster. And we could go all night about your impressive list of non existant upgrades, hell a pig will out run anything if you strap a big enough rocket to it. Bring your quadsilly to the hatfeild trails and Ill bring ol betsy, shes been needing a good feeding lately. OL BETSY---- 02 banshee with flux capicitor, nuclear photon beams, and warp drive. I think my mods are more impressive now what do you think?

i think stage 1 is for mx racing and stage 2 is for gncc type?? cant remember.... goto hot cams .com

stage 1 is 1 cam stage 2 has 2 cams. i have the stage 2... dont know the diffrence it just sounds cooler to say i have stage 2 cams. you know what im talking about!!!!!

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]Sorry I saw this note to late. The previous responder is right; it'll never be as fast as 450.. But if you have $2200.00+ go for the 440 big bore, cams from Crower Power (Lake Elsinore, CA.) Good port & polish, 38mm carb, & ofcourse good pipe & filter. Don't foreget descent CDI box..Now you can run with the 450's... Make sure your big bore kit has a minimum of 11.5 compression. Now throw in some race fuel. Your good to go.
