sand in the brakes

Default sand in the brakes

whats the best way to get sand out of the brakes of an 06 eiger? i am not real confident in my mechanicin' skills. i had one brake pad off but still cant get it all out and it is grindin pretty bad

well take both pads off and wipe them down if you can get them off or try spraying them with water...there also may be sand on the rotors(I am guessing they have rotors all the way around , not familiar with the bike) so clean the rotors also.

the fronts are rotors and the rear should be drums. wash the fronts with water but if you have sand it the rear your goingtohave to remove the tires and then the drums then rinse out with water
