hands down the Suzuki LT500 was and is the fastest quad ever made! Its been proven time and time again! I would love to see one in the 2002 year lineup. I have hopes of it happining in the next few years anyway. The bottom line is dirtbikes are some of the quickest machines made and I dont see why the ATV industry would hesitate on making a screaming Quadracer again!

When Suzuki's Quadzilla 500 was on the market I remember sitting on it on the showroom floor. At that time I was to young to have such a monster, but I'm glad my dad didn't buy that Lizard, because surely I wouldn't be here today. For all those Quadaholics like myself who has a Quadzilla, you all are very lucky for having the biggest, baddest, fastest quad ever produced.

I checked out my old issues of dirtwheels, and found the '87 and '88 Quadzilla vs. Banshee articles. The articles didn't give any specs on top speed, or hp. They did comparisons, though. Basically, the Quadzilla has a stronger motor, better suspension. The Banshee has better brakes. It's a toss up for better handling and ergonomics. "Both bikes would stay pretty much even for the first 50 yds or so, but after that the Suzuki would start slingshotting ahead of the Yamaha. By the 3/4 mark the Suzuki had a good 3 to 4 bike-length lead and was pulling away." Also, "In a straight line drag race the Suzuki literally blew off the Yamaha's doors." -from Dirwheels, pg 39 of April '87.
