Default Help on an 02 Ozark

I was riding in snow and wet conditions, I got home sprayed it off a day later and rolled it in and out of the garage (unheated). the next weekend went to take it out and the rear end is locked up. dont think its the brakes cause i pulled on the brake control at the back and it was all the way realeased. it moves slightly like its in gear (when in neutral) then when i put it in gear it boggs down and wont move. any thoughts?

It could still be the brake. It's a drum brake on the rear so it could be frozen or just packed with crud. Even though you can move the brake lever beside the unit, the shoes could still be stuck to the drum. If it's frozen, you can verify just by getting the bike someplace above freezing for a while. You'll probably have to pull the rear brake apart and clean it out - could need new seals.

yup sounds like brakes . . . it rolled easy first time out of the garage ? - probably frozen crud . . .
easy enuf to pull the drum though - and if you're careful you won't need to buy a seal or o ring . . .
go slow taking it apart and remember to lube the ring when ya put it back on.

03 yeller ozark - bent the axle housing on a roll over - had to replace the house & bearings & seals . . .
can ya believe the axle did NOT bend !

Thanks, I'll have to pull the brakes off and take a look. I put silicone on the seal last time i tore it apart but that must not have sealed it all.
