Brake squeekin
#1
I got a ltr450 and for some reason ever since I got this thing the brakes have been squeekin alot. Since the first time I rode it. After the first service it was not squeekin anymore cuz i asked them to check it out, but it started right back up, does anybody know why this is happening, i've cleaned the brakes up real good so I don't think its dirt. And this happens when your not on the brakes. and they're new pads too. Any info would help, oh and I heard that using a scotch pad would resurface them? is this true and what do they mean by resurface?

my dvx still does it and its done it since day one...It seems like its just on one spot of the back brake caliper...I hardly ever use brakes so mine are still like new...soon as they get worn down a bit it will go away...it goes away sometimes then i think when it gets drys up it starts again
if it really bothers you put some oil on the brake caliper and pad LOL

My rear brake would squeak like mad, so I replaced the rotor with a wave rotor and the squeak has yet to come back. I now my rotor was warped though.... at the dealer I took off not knowing the parking brake was on , I made it 100 feet and the rear wheels came to a stop. had a sqeak from then on.

yeah i'm thinking the parking brake has everything to do with it. I haven't road it with it on, but whos to say someone at the dealership didn't you know. I'm probably going to take it off anyways.
