well i have an 02 660 with a moose pipe thats about all the performance mods i have on it. But in thinking about selling it for a 02-07 z400. do you think thats a wize choise? I have herd the z400 has close to 40hp and i think the raptor is around 35 stock. so do the differ in power buy a lot or are they close. i just do trail riding most of the time. and also i heard that the suspension is better on the z400.

 

hey yes the Z400 has a lot better suspension the 660 may be a faster but the Z400 is easier to handle due to lighter steering....i would think your better off with a Z400 with a Few mods but it also depends on what u ride ( trails, track, etc) i would preferably go with the Z400...The 660 is also known for breaking down and being non durable..But if you wil lose a lot of money from the deals keep ur 660...bcuz even buying a new quad u never know wat they did to it.... If lets say its a 2003 thts 4 years tht they couldve been tottaly been beating the quad and there reason for selling is prob bcuz its not in good shape anymore believe ppl will try to get the most money out of the deal no matter wat...keep writing bak and i will respond good luck. Dont forget the 660 wont break down if u take good care of it and if u treat it well tht things a beast also just like the Z400

 

yo actually i just a raptor, it says the exact horspower on the title. Stock i think it was 49 or 46 horsepower. Def over 40 hp. Check the title

i'd own a z400 over a raptor anyday....all depends on the riding you do...go test drive a z400 and see if you like it

 

the 04 + z400 are said to be better machines than the 660 raptors. hp from a dyno means nothing because different dynos give different results...
in a race..they should be pretty =....

 

z400 hp is 33-35 rwhp is 26-28 660 hp is 36-38 rwhp is 30-32 the z is definately a lot better handling and sits lower but the 660 is a torquey motor that definately has the power when you need it (not saying the z dont have the power just the 660 has more of it) there both fun to drive and i would choose the z because its lighter and better for trails while the 660 is better for wheelies and going through mud good luck with your choice

 

There are so many dynos that show rwhp...you never will get an "actual" hp unless u do it yourself....dude are you stupid?? why would ANYBODY use a 660 Raptor for mudding?.
