King quad engine shaking Rubber mounts????
#1
Hey i just bought an 06 king quad it used one year old, not many miles or hours (14). BUt anyways last weekend i was stuck in a 18" snow drift and i was walking my quad up a hill. Needless to say its wasnt moving i was in diff lock and the wheels were spinning. The bike was bouncin, you know, when the wheels were spinning. And i noticed the engine shaking quite a bit. I know the engine is rubber mounted but i didnt think it would move so much. Anyone else see this????? BIke runs fine tho no problems at all

Just an opinion, but if the wheels were hopping up and down also, or if it was "grabbing " probably the whole engine, transmission front and rear diff was gettin evidently some serious shock also. with the piston angle and cylinder design, you should get a steady shake. I would open up side panels, drive around yard and see what the engine is doing on flat land, (maybe use a mirror to help) but it sounds to me like it was getting and losing traction.

Really, i figured there had to be some lee-way for vibrations, and the rubber mounts...........
Thats exactly what was happening, was stuck in an 18" snow drift machine was just hopping barley moving. There has been no shake in the engine other than that one time............was worried for a little bit been checkin the forum constantly to see if there was an answer since yesterday, lol...............
thanx
