Calling all--big issue

Problem is the LT R450 is illegail in Wisconsin because it is 1 inch too wide. I need to shorten the rear wheel width by one inch and this goes for all LT r450 owners in WI. If you dont want a hefty ticket we need to pull together and figure this out. State law in 48 inches and under we are at 49 and 1/2. flippin the wheels in the rear wont do it either due to the steel inserts, it would break the rim over time. We need all the help we can get. Anyone and everyone please leave your feedback. thanks

I believe that they sell shorter aftermarket a arms since they do use the 450 in gncc racing...also if you can find a arms from maybe one of the other 450's then you will save youself some money and also look for a shorter axle.

Who is going to bust you?
Do you ride in places where they measure your width? I've never heard of anyone with a factory machine getting booted off the trails for something like this. I would be curious to know if anyone has ever been hassled about this.

Depending on where you are riding in Wisconsin you could get checked for width.
I was checked two years ago in Black River Falls and fortunately my quad measured 48".
I have been riding both Clark County, BRF and Danbury many times since and have never been
checked again for width nor have I witnessed any width checks. I've seen many checks however for a sparky, WI state trail permit and registration,
alcohol intox and riding off established trails. I'm not sure how much emphasis they will place on the width rule this coming year..
