I GOT THEM TO RACE TODAY AND THE ZILLA RIPPED THE 250R A NEW ONE. ALMOST 7 QUAD LENTHS. A FEW HOURS LATER THE 250R LOCKED UP. I GUESS THAT SHOWS EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED, I THOUGHT THE ZILLA WOULD LOCK UP, HELL THAT ZILLA EVEN OUTRAN A POLARIS OUTLAW.

easy answer to that is 500cc 2-stroke to 525 4-stroke , I was around when the Zilla first came out WAY WAY scary fast ,new a guy that would stud his tires and out run the water patrol guys on there sleds .

 

i rode the outlaw, it was a pretty powerful machine. geared to low for my taste. i like them small and quick. but the guy riding it had a big mouth and after the race he ran home like a lil girl. i guess he should have done more research before running his mouth.

 

Only 7 quad links?? thats not that good for a zilla.. he might need a rebuild on that thing... LOL the r locked up! you cant pin open a 2 stroke and expect it to hold up....

 

He was probably racing Polaris Indy Lite and Arctic Cat Jag 340's.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

I never said it was stock. and I'm not 10! He called suzuki and said"i want to race and beat snowmobiles" They said do this this and this. he was beating snowmobiles.

 

I've got both bikes and my 250 smokes the zilla..... but I have a 310 kit on the R.

If both are bone stock the Zilla will take the "R" as long as your buddy on the zilla knows how to run the gears.

Oops!! just noticed the second page on this thing. I guess the guy on the zilla could run the gears well!!!!!

 

I only needed 4 gears for the last 250R I met at LA Dunes. Fifth and I was gone.

 

well, i thought he would win by alot more, but suprisingly the 250 r came off the line first. the boy riding it was really small and had quick a$$ reflexes. the zilla could have done better but it was in gravel and the tires on it wernt all that new. thats no excuse for not stomping him more but it could be a factor. the guy on the 250r raced my blaster later that day, he had me for the first 30 feet and then "BOOM". i was gone. and the boom was when he locked up. i can say i outran a 250r and i wont be bulls**ting. i mean if it counts. for those who say a quad cant outrun a snowmobile, a guy i know outran a snowmobile. but he was on a kick a$$ banshee with a hyabusa 1300 motor swap. ugly but crazy fast. i think its junked now. it is faster then a zilla. but it still outran it.
