Ozark Rear Axle Bent!!!
#1
My son bent his rear axle on his Ozark yesterday and I have been trying to find a new or used one on the internet. So far, BikeBandit is the only place I can find one and they want $345.00.
Can anyone help me?

Welcome to the forums reubenjet...I had done the same thing in the past, but I also bent the carrier and needed to replace that also...How do your bearings and the rest of the rearend look?...I would try ebay or you might just have to go through the stealer.

Thank you for the advice! The axle got bent when he ran into a tree...I think! I did not see the accident and am not sure he is telling me the whole story.
After I got frustrated on this forum I went to "highlifter.com" and posted there and got IMMEDIATE responses...one of which was to take the axle out and straighten it in a press. I did that Sunday and we are back on the trail again. Sorry if i got upset with you guys but it seemed unusual to not get a reply from a post.
Thanks again!

If it was bent alot just watch because it will cause a weak point in the axle so be careful and it might wind up breaking in the future depending on the bend it had.
