Default Four Stroke Tech 273cc big bore kit

I have been trying to figure out if this kit, made for the LTS-250(?), will fit an Ozark or LTZ-250. Is the engine in the new quads the same one that they were using in the 80s and 90s? I saw a post on another forum that makes me think the "old" 250 had a different bore and stroke than what is now in the Ozark and LTZ. Anyone know the answer to this question?

Thanks,
Don

I think David is correct, it is for the FOUR stroke 85-up LT230/lt250! The bigbore kit I bought for my 86 LT230S is 273cc, from LA sleeve. Maybe a cooincidence? Zilla's lil bro was the 250 R

The kit I was looking at is for the 4 stroke 230 and 250 engines. I am just wondering if the 250 is the same basic engine that is being used in the newer quads. I have not been able to get through to Four Stroke Tech because we are in different time zones and both have really odd work hours.

I'm pretty set on buying an Ozark or LTZ-250 because the price is right and from what I have read and seen they are both excellent quads. The option of a big bore kit when it is time for a rebuild would pretty much cement my decision. Hopefully I can get through to Four Stroke Tech and get the answer straight from them.

I know someone makes a big bore kit for the Ozark/Z250. It makes it a 280cc but I can't remember who makes the kit.

If you remember who please post it here. For a bunch of reasons I have pretty much decided to get an Ozark and being able to upgrade it with a little more power in the future would be cool. My next search is to see if the adjustable shocks off of the LTZ-250 will fit or if somebody makes better aftermarket shocks that will fit.

the older 230/250 is basically the same engine as the z250/ozark. I have a piston in mine for the older 250 application. Its been workin fine for over a year now.
