when i turn either way or rock the quad side to side i get a cracking noise in the rear endn somewhere. anyone know what this might be??

 

Have you checked your rear end bearings? Block the back up off the ground and wiggle the rear end to see if there is any slack.

 

yeah i checked the bearings and there is no play.

 

sounds like bearings to me. when you have the axle of the ground does it make noise when you roll it?. the bearing can have no play in then and still be bad. I had to replace mine once, everytime it was moving you could hear the bearing cracking and grinding. also check your swingarm bushings and sprocket hub and wheel hubs for being loose

 

everything is fine when i have it blocked up, its only when i am riding

 

had swing arm bushing go out before ,

 

its probably the swingarm bushings. i had the same problem in my z250 until i changed them.
