i liked the EX's look and suspension setup, but the Z had a softer seat, and in the end all that matters is what your more comftorable with, right. i didnt like the throttle response on the 250Z. i raced my blaster against a 250ex and was empressed with the throttle response, but the Z would take it in top end and handleing...

I thought this was settled over a year ago...In every shoot out published the Z always came out on top.... And Ya I've ridden them both. The EX does very well, it's second gear is a great ratio for hard sand riding but in every other aspect I'll take the Z......

They are very close. I've ridden both. If it were my money I would buy the Honda. The '06 and newer have the "Honda Sport Clutch" so you have the option of using a semi manual clutch. If performance is an issue then why get a 250? These quads are so close in performance that it is more the rider than the machine. If my buddy has a Suzuki and I'm on the Honda he is not going to run away from me. More likely I would have to tow him home when he breaks. just kidding Z250 fans, don't string me up. They are both great trail quads but for my $$$ I'm thinking Honda.

yeah, now that i think about it the Z was more impressive on the trails, but im a flat track rider, so i need more holeshot. the Z costs more i belive, i may be wrong. but for the price, which ever is cheaper is the best way to go. they were alike to me. and why the @$%# doesnt yamaha make a 250, the blaster is fit to run with 350's and i belive it should. yamaha needs to make a better competing quad for the 250 class, the blaster has too much mantinence for the Z and EX. they should really make some new models...........

if your riding blue, your riding true...YaMaHa_4_LiFe

I bought a Honda 250EX for my wife and it rides real nice. It is very well mannered and jumps very well. I use it for putting around when I am feeling lazy and do not want to drag out the banshee.
