I blew the top end on sunday, piston is ok but the jug(sleeve) is busted with 2 long cracks inside, blew oil all into the carb so no more 470 kit for me, Im back to my 440 again, messed up the carb when it let go so its being repaired and rejetted, If you have ever thought about the 470 kit from tudors save you money

tell me about it. it couldnt have been running any better then it was and after 24 miles of riding and 9 miles from the truck she let go,
its not easy getting a quad back with a dirt bike when your in the sandy river bottom

 

well it was being dialed in and the top end blew the head gasket and now its going to cost another $700 as long as the head isnt cracked from when it went before, shot my weekend, I think it did this because I just paid it off, its just not my month

me to. if the head is bad then the bikes going to be sitting in storage for a while, dont have the funds to repair it right now, just enough for whats being done now. I'll know next week what its going to take to get it running again

 

well I was lucky. the head was a little warped but not hurt so I'll be up and running for the weekend. need to make sure everything is ok, leaving on the 4th for the dunes Easter weekend, last trip of the season for me, so everything needs to go right, its going to feel weird to run the 440 instead of the 470,
