Default ltz250 won't idle

I have a 04 ltz250 that won't idle, it will idle real high sometimes then idles low and dies sometimes, when it is idleing it will just die, just like you just hit the kill switch, it will die whether it is idling high or low. i removed and disasembled the carb and cleaned and blew out everything, and still the same. i sprayed carb cleaner all around the carb and boot while it was running to see if there was a leak and found none. Thanks, Russell

the screw is on the bottom of carb where the bowl is indented pointing downward. it should have a rubber plug over top of it if its never been removed

Default Ltz 250 won't idle x2

Just bought one and the carb was gunk ed up by ethanal. Cleaned all jets, got it started and it is a hard start. Have to choke it and idle adjustment needs to be at like 1 turn. When it starts, it's at high idle so I turn the adjustment all the way out and idle goes down but not to normal, still to high. Played with and found that if I put my hand over the intake to restrisked the air, it will go to a perfect idle for 10-15 seconds and it goes back up if I don't keep my hand there. It revs up perfect, just the idle and starting. If I shut it off, I have to start all over again. It does not have an air filter yet, i just ordered one. Help!
