Default Just picked up an 06 Eiger

As the title says just bought an 06 Eiger 4x4 auto. Took it out today for about 10 miles. So far I am really impressed. Tomorrow will be the real test as I hope to put another 20-50 miles on it. I will let you know how it goes.

Howdy Bama,

I have a 05 Eiger/auto that I bought new and really like it. Although I only have 145 miles on the speedo, it has run fine. Simple / functional design, very comfortable ride and lots of torque. Good in mud and plowing snow as well. My brother has an 06 Vinson and unless I really concentrate, I don't notice very much difference even though the Vinny has a bigger engine. One thing I did notice is that the Vinny's fenders aren't flaired as much as the Eiger's. Concequently, you get a little more mud on ya from your tires. This is really nit picking though.... Good luck and good riding with your Eiger.

the eiger is a very good machine but if you dont notice the power diffrence from an eiger to a vinson there is something wrong with you my friend.

Logged another 15 miles today! Would of had more but one of the other atvs broke a chain and I had to tow him out. The Eiger is amazingly nimble for a near 600lb atv. Only got stuck once by bottoming out the fram on some huge ruts, just hit reverse and out it came. Also pulled my buddy out of the thickest Alabama clay soup/quicksand, man did I get muddy. So far I love this quad. Next are mods.

always a good idea to add a inline fuel filter for a little extra protection

Don't mind his comment guys, he got himself banned for similar comments in another thread. I find this site one of the best for atv discussion and friendly banter, but I hate it when guys like that bring their crappy attitude to the table.

Just bought a new 06 eiger man. myself 2 weeks ago. Only put 38 miles on it so far,and love it. Was wondering what kind of fuel filters youall were using. I was thinking of putting an extra one on my machine.

I picked up a fram clear filter with a paper element($3.50 Canadian Tire) so I can keep an eye for dirt build up or water.
