I just bought a lt 230 f. It is electric start and shaft driven, red. What year were these made and how hard is it to rebuild the top end? It smokes bad all the time. Could I put a big bore kit on it without taking the motor out and where is the best place to get parts? Thanks.

 

ebay for parts and no motor dosnt have to come out its pretty easy to rebuild id buy a book for it if u dont know quad motors 2-3 hrs backyard 1-2 hrs knowing motors then its up to how motor is and weather it needs bored id get the wiesco kit as it bumps compression a lil and can be had for less than 100.00

 

Is there a place on this site were it tells you the difference in the models like between a 230E or S or F etc?

 

230 s has kickstart 230 e has electric start and auto clutch with a chain 230 f is shaft drive most parts are the same besides bottom end because of manual clutch auto clutch ect !!! as far as top end goes they all the same and i yhink even z250s have same topend but unsure but im 99.7897678% sure that if u got 230 parts they all the same piston cam is different power range for auto clutch but u can put 230 s cam or 250 s cam in your motor no problem it just have more upper range rev and power!!!!!!! hope this is what ur askin if not just specify
