Default LT250r engine cases sealant??

Anyone know where and what type of sealant I should use to reaseal my engine cases on an '86 LT250r?

I just replaced the crank seals on both sides but when i was disassembling the motor i found one of the case bolts around the crank was backed out about 3 threads. This would explain the poor and sometimes surging idle after cracking the throttle right?? You could see where the mating surfaces were wet where gear oil was perhaps getting in as well. Any help is appreciated.
