700 King Quad Burning oil
#11
It is a shame Suzuki has not done anything to address this issue. Pretty crappy on their part if you ask me. You shouldn't have to pay a dime for something that has not been resolved. How many thousands of others have had to pay for this repair, and with quite a few of them, the full bill? I guess Suzuki does not realize the damage stuff like this does to their reputation. A lot of the new customers they gained with the King Quad will not be back for the next purchase.
Changing out to a foam filter seems to be the cure. Why the factory hasn't done this is beyond me (maybe to avoid repair liability with the earlier machines by admitting a problem??) But you don't see this issue with guys that have changed the filter out from day one. Unfortunately, not everyone reads these forums so they do not know about the issue to be proactive about it.
Although the Twin Air is more expensive, it seems to fit better than the Uni. If you don't own one already, that is the one I would buy. Check out NYROC if you have never been there. Lots of King info and pictures.
