Engaging 4WD on Eiger
I recently bought a 2007 Eiger 4wd. The owners manual says to make a complete stop before changing from 2wd to 4wd. I have heard lots of people say as long as your going slow and not revving the engine that it won't hurt to engage it while moving. What are some of your thoughts on this? Just curious.

As long as you are not running under load or in a condition where the fronts are turning at a dfferent speed than the rears there will be no problem. To switch in or out of 4wd while on the fly, just back off the throttle and flip the 4wd lever. I've never had any issues with shifting this way on my '02 (or other quads prior to this one).
On edit: You definately need to come to a complete stop when shifting in or out of Hi and Lo range.

The reason why you can't switch from 2 wd to 4 wd is a safety reason!

Remind me not to go riding with you guys!
I don't wanta see you wreck and get hurt and seeing blood all over the place and calling Life Flight!

The 26" Mud Lites work very good and don't rob too much power. They are 10" wide on front and 12" wide on the rear. They handle much better and take less power than the 27" Swamp Lites on our Vinson. There is also plenty of clearance. I'm not sure how long they are going to last though on the rock/gravel roads we ride on. If you ride on dirt they should last a long time.
