Default 2007 Suzuki LTZ400 Question

I have a 2007 Suzuki Z400. I was told you are not supposed to stand this atv up, as in rest the bumper on a trailer and have it straight in the air, is this true? I have a 12 foot long box truck that I need to fit a Can Am Outlander 800 into and my Suzuki, and theres only 4.5 feet across thats useable space. So, just wondering if I drain the fuel, if I would harm anything by standing it up for maybe a 1.25 hr period max. Thanks.

who told you not to stand it up? Did they give you any reason?

I stand mine up all the time, just make sure the fuel petcock is on ON and there shouldnt be any problems. just let it sit on all 4 wheels for a few minutes before starting(let the oil drain back)

Default 2007 Suzuki LTZ400 Question

The salesman who sold it to me told me not to do that, and one of my friends told me not to do it because the EFI would get messed up, well it doesnt have EFI, maybe he thought i said it was a 450. I stood my sons raptor up all the time in the truck, with no problems at all, but I just wanted to make sure that I could do this. Why isnt there a fuel OFF position? Id like that for winter storage so I dont have to drain the whole tank, just get whatevers in the carb out. Thanks.

There is no "off' because it's vaccum operated in the "on & reserve" positions. "PRI" is the only position where gas flows freely to the carb.

If you want to run it dry, pull the fuel line off the carb and run it 'till it quits.
