Hi Everyone,

Just found your site and seems like a great place for info on the '87 LT230s QuadSport I'll be picking up over the weekend.

The bike is in mechanically great shape, the plastic is shot, the seat has some rips, so some replacement stuff will be on order at some time. It already has a longer swaybar and maybe a wider axle. The guy is putting new rings in before i get it... smokes a little.

Interestingly, it aslo has an electric start, I guess it may be the aftermarket starter I have seen talked about? Or did any lt230s come with electric start? He has stated though, he could never get it to work properly... The starter pops out to engage, but will not stay out to mesh with the gear.

Lastly, I want to get some nerf bars. They don't have to be anything special, steel is fine with me, and the less expensive the better at this point. Short of making my own, I can't find any that say they fit the LT230s. What is everyone else using to fit?

Dennis Kirk has bars that fit (steel). The LT230s did not come with electric start, but GOKI makes an aftermarket kit (GWATC-109). Might want to ckeck them for troubleshooting.
