The 440 kits are supposed to give it a great amount of power but still cant beat a 450, and at 1 or 2 grand for the kit, you might consider a r450 but its all up to you.

Still can't beat a 450? WTF? thats an uneducated answer. I have a stock bore kfx/Z400 and it will whip a yfz450 and the 450R. I have not raced the kfx450 or the ltr 450 yet, but I don't see it bein a problem. It agitates me to no end when people say a z400 with a few mods can't beat a 450. Think about this: a z400 has betwwen 30-32hp at the wheels stock. a 450r has 33-36whp stock.......whoooooo big difference. get real....how hard is it to gain a couple hp? and the weight of the bikes are not that big a difference. I guess maybe if you did not know how to tune correctly and did not know how to ride, then yes a 450 will beat a modified z400.........
