the quad set out side uncovered for about a year. It has no spark now. I changed plug, CDI,and coil. So my guess is its in the stator or pickup. Anyone know how to check them? I have a multimeter and set it to ohms, unplugged the stator wires(3 yellow wires) and put the leads down in the plug and got 0.005. Im just not sure if im testing it right.

I put both leads down into the plug on two of the wires and the meter went from O.L to 0.005 and then checked all three wires the same way and got 0.000. Do i need to have the key on or off? I did it with the key off. And does it need to be cranking? When I did it while cranking it did go up but not much.
