I went racing at the 300ft track in fairplain west virginia over the weekend. just wondered if anyone else was there racing also. my best overall was a 7 second flat. I guess not too bad for a 500 ute.

 

I never went to that specific track since I live in canada, but I've done many 300 feet races here, and some ATV pulls also, and have been impressed how the vinson pulls! My best on a 300 ft grass strip was 6.76 sec. I've never seen a fastest 500cc ute until now (300 feet only) over that, a stock polaris 500 H.O pulls slowly ahead of me...

 

yeah this was really deep loose dirt. A packed track would have made me faster plus I was a little lazy off the line but I'm sure I can be faster

 

was there any outty 500 there cause there supposed to be th fastest 500 out. They have 45hp at the crank and i think the vinson has 33.6 hp.

 

no no outty 500 there but yeah with the v twin and can am's reputation im sure it is the fastest 500 out.

 

I'd probably be beat by a can am 500 yeah ... I've yet to see one in action myself tho, been a while I didnt go to these ute drags

 

Has anyone every raced a outty 400 against the vinson. If so what was the outcome?

 

I never saw an outy 400 on the 300ft dragstrip here... but I've seen a few in ATV pulls, and they were doing a few hundred pounds less than me (900 vs 1200)

 

Yea thats one good thing aabout an staight axle they an pull better then a independent atv.

 

i have two freinds with outlander 400's and they are really fast for a 400 but not quite what a vinny is. I have them off the line and just keep pullin away everytime
