Default LT-Z250 starting to burn oil

Hi folks,

I have a Z250 that is starting to burn a little oil.

It has had considerable use but has been well looked after (oil and filter changes regularly etc..)

Are the rings on the way out? How much will it cost to get repaired roughly and what's involved?

Does anyone know if these bikes have had any stator problems (Used to get so many with Yamaha!!!!

cheers for help.

I have 2 z250's and both have used oil since new. I spoke with a tech. for Suzuki that told me it is not uncommon for air cooled 4 strokes to use a little oil. I usually have to add 4 or 5 oz. after 2 0r 3 rides. Otherwise these quads have been great!

Both my Ozarks (same 250 engine) burn a little bit of oil and have since they were new. I add a little oil occasionally and don't worry about it.

they might be on there way to replace them go to or call a suzuki dealership that does atvs or u might be able to find them on the internet it costs around $20. thats how much it cost for mine. its not so bad putting them on. but some quads r different. u might have to send ur piston and stuff to a machine shop.
