First post here. Just bought a couple quads over the 4th of July week. Did a quick search earlier today for where serial/vin number is located, but didn't find it again just yet. Want to post my main question before I forget again!

Anybody know what year this thing is? I'm guessing 1983, mainly because that is as far back as the parts list I searched for earlier went.

It is a pull start ignition, manual choke located in front of gas tank, pull up reverse lever on left side. Any other info that is needed I will post back.

u can find out usually with the last couple letters in the vin my 230 sg is a 86 model being that it has the sg or shall i say the last letter at least on my 230! if u call a suzuki shop with the vin they can tell u or go to bike bandit.com and search there

 

Where is the vin usually found? I have searched and seen that is usually on the left hand side of the cross member angling toward the front of bike, but I'm not seeing anything there on this quad.

Have come to see this is called a Suzuki Shuttle and from what I can make out on the stickers, the last 2 digits appears to be 00 in a silvery stamped impression and then there is a 83 right next to that.

Serial number appears to be 8F2113604, but when I called the Suzuki shop, he couldn't come up with anything! [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

He said he tried changing the F to several other letters also. I'm almost positive I'm reading that serial number correctly.

Also, where the heck do I look up serial number on that site you linked to? I don't see anything for doing that!

 

Yay! Got it figured out, I hope! It's a 1984 Suzuki Shuttle LT185. Ordered exhaust for it yesterday.

$247.70!! Holy cow!!
