ok so I am looking into buying a new exhaust system for my z400...I dont want to spend too much money but I still want something reliable and quiet so if you have any suggestions please post

also if I buy a good exhaust system and a k&n filter I will most likely have to rejet..the only thing is I have no clue how to jet or what jets to use so I need a lot of help as you can see. please post

Default new exhaust

when i had my 05 z i put a dubach(dr. d ) exhaust on it ..it didnt kill me price wise and the sound was good...the performance was even better!!! I had a buddy at a local atv dealer put my jet kit on so I know it was done right. I try not to fool with the really technical stuff too much!!! I leave that to the smarter atv guys!!!,,,I also went with the k/n filter..but there are other good ones out there.

The Dubach is louder than stock but I think they all are. It didn't seem as loud as some others like the hmf or the big guns but with alot of exhaust systems you can buy a quiet core insert. You just have to find out which exhaust systems offer the quiet core inserts.......from what I am told.....but to me , the dubach exhaust was probably right around 94-96 decibels...just my 2 cents
