2005 Eiger help
While riding today i noticed a little play in the front wheel. I got home and took everything apart thinking it was the drive shaft. After putting everything back together i wiggled the disk break and there was still a little play. After looking at the manual i took the stearing nuckle back out and found out thats where the play was. Im not sure if i should just buy new seal and take it all apart and greese it all up and put it back together or buy the bearings to (trying to save a little money). It seams like the bearings are ok it still turns smooth. Also in the manual it shows you need special tool to take it apart has anyone done it before and can you do it without the special tools? Thanks for the help jeff

Quick update i pull the nuckle out and put it in a vice. I was able to knock out the seals and the bearings from the inside and it was dry as a bone. Any eiger owners my want to take a look and hit the bearings with some greese. looks like its going to cost about $45 each wheel to replace the bearings and seals.

2005 Eiger help
I just changed the bearings on my 06' Eiger. I was surprized to find there was no grease in the hub and mud was actually packed in behind the seal. I filled the hub with grease before I put the new bearings in, hopefully this keeps some of the mud and water out. I was also thinking about getting a grease needle and tring to put some grease in all of the boots (tie rod ends, ball joints) cause they didn't fill like they had any grease either.

2005 Eiger help
I got mine from a place called Xtreme Suzuki I think I payed about $50. The kind I got were Pivot Works and they looked like much better bearings than came on the Eiger And they are sealed on both sides, the ones I took off were only sealed on one side and that probably didn't help when mud got in there. With new bearings and grease I'm hoping they will last longer (only got 500 miles out of the factory ones)

I realize this post is OLD, but could you expand on how you got the bearings out of the knuckle. I took both fronts off and on the left side, the ball bearings literally fell out. The right was bad, too. I was able to get them out of the left knuckle with a hammer and a chisel, but it took a while. How did you do it?
