King quad 700 K&N problem
#1
I have an 07 king quad 700 and I just installed a K&N air filter into it. I noticed before the filter upgrade that the stock one I was able to get my king up to 73Mph with no problem
but since the upgrade I can only reach 62Mph and it seems like I am hitting a limiter, like hitting a wall. I contacted the dealer and they said that the ecu wasnt able to accommodate for the added air flow therfore making it sluggish. I would like to hear from anyone else thank you.

I THINK K&N IS OVER RATED , ALOT OF PEOPLE RUN THEM BUT THEY CANT TELL YOU WHY. IT IS LIKE THOSE VERY LARGE MUFFLER PIPES ON THE LITTLE HONDAS AND TOYOTAS YOU SEE IF THE PIPE COMING FROM THE ENGINE IS STILL ONLY 1/4 INCH WHAT GOOD WILL A LARGE PIPE AT THE END DO? THE FACTORY STOCK STUFF IS MADE TO WORK IN ALL CONDITIONS WERE I AM NOT TO SURE ABOUT THE K&N ,SO I THINK YOUR DEALER IS BEING PRETTY STRAIGHT WITH YOU.

my bad you don't have to rejet ,but to make your exaust flow more freely ,is a bonus ,the FI should be able to handle the remix of fuel, might have to reprogram ,the controler,or I think they call it Mapping ,
