LTA 50 bogs down at full throttle

LTA 50 bogs down at full throttle
I bought a 2003 lta 50 about a year ago for my son and it ran fine until last week when it started to bog down under full throttle. it starts and idles fine but dies when he tries to go. any suggestions on where to start would be great
