LTZ stroked
#1
What does it take to make a LTZ400 competitive with a stroked banshee ? Im' thinking like a 450 - 510 kit on alky ? anyone seen LTZ's like this ? any idea if it would be quick enough to hang with the built shee's ?

I have a 4 mil stroked banshee (cub not a stock cylinder) but I ride with a z400 and some TRX450's and YFZ450's the one trx is fastest as it has cam, pipe, filter. When we race first and second gear is close and then I pull away 1-2 bike lengths for 3rd and 4th it is close to 5-6 bike lengths and still pulling away. I do not think you will be able to keep up even with a stroked and cam'd Z400. Just my experience

yeah ive kina come to that conclusion also, im leaning toward a trx or yfz platform, have you ever raced your cub against stroked, bored, camd trx's ? I think im gonna go with a TRX with a 542 kit. whatya think ?

I would say that would be as close to competative as any 4 stroke will get. I would also think about a raptor (starting at 700CC and the EFI may get you close to the hp numbers you are going to need. The cub 4 mil is around 80-100hp depending on the person you ask and the dyno. I would say that the raptor could get you up around 50-70hpo but the torque would get you close to the cub. Just my thoughts.

Hmmmmm....this is a complicated question. The answer depends on many things. If your z is built correctly as in a good combo, you can be competative. Mine has outrun a many of bikes that I thought I would lose to. Its not stroked yet. I raced a banshee that dynoed at 70 hp and beat him. Are you gonna outrun 100hp banshees? prolly not. You could do what I do......just stay away from the banshees. I rarely line up with them...mostly because where I ride 98% of them are drag bikes makin over 80-hp.
