No. Many Mods that increase power also increase noise output, but lots of things you can do to make the bike louder can actually decrease power. So don't use noise as a gauge of what is a good mod.

I love my CT SONIC pipe. It's got great power in the low to mid. In terms of sound output, it's louder than stock for sure but much quieter than any other aftermarket pipe I've been around. When I run around other bikes with aftermarket exhaust I can barely hear mine running.
I've been really pleased with my EHS racing lid. I haven't encountered really wet/muddy terrain since I went to that setup though. I'll know more after my trip to Hatfield McCoy in late Oct.
