if you do more trail and woods riding i suggest the two brothers pipe. it gives great low end and good mid range power. and it has nice deep sound and is not as loud as an hmf

white brother e-series slip on..........gives you the choice of

A: run with air box lid on and no need to rejet

B: run with air box lid off and only have to go up to a 165 main jet while leaving the stock pilot jet and needle in place........these are specs given by white brothers themselves and is what i run on my z400........love it

What type of air filter are you running with the lid off?

If you want to save a lot of money here is the cheap and easy way, and it still sounds great but not too loud. Buy a K&N air filter and box lid, they are usually sold as one unit, and if you buy from the right people you will get the upgraded jets for free, and remove the spark arrestor from the end of the exhaust pipe, and then put the three bolts back in. If you don't believe me, just start it up with it in, and then take it out and start it, plus once you have in the jets and filters it will have all the power she will ever need, I know I did the same thing to my wifes 03 Z-400, it is great on trails, sand,or dirt. Plus you save about $250 bucks, and have the same power if you bought aftermarket pipe.

Stock is good! Its quiet preventing high freq hearing loss, it is accepted in national parks & forest, it produces 92% as much power as you get out of a race pipe, and its free!

Thanks guys! Ill check it out! Have you seen the air box lid filters at ehsracing.com? They look pretty cool. I also found a nice billet end cap for the stock muffler on ebay for only $30 bucks. Supposed to make it a little louder and looks cool. Louder is faster right!!!
