Could also be bad gas. Is he running without the airbox lid? He's main jet should be at leat between a 165 and 170 OEM jets, not this junk jet kit. Get the OEM from the dealer for $3 a jet. make sure there is no air being sucked in from the boots on both sides of the carb. My next guess is a clogg in the carb, take her apart and blow her out! Good luck.

Well here is the issue, my freind told me that he posted this for me. So I am here to tell you the hole situation. I have had this bike for about 2 years with never a problem. Here in the last couple of months it started running like crap. In neutral she runs like a champ, but once in gear if you lay into it she floods out at half throttle. I have put an OEM air filter back on it, changed the plugs, cleaned the carb, and removed and flushed the tank. I do have a Big Gun exhaust, but it has been on there for three years, with the Big Gun CDI box. That was why I was wondering if it was the CDI box. I have heard that the after market seem to go bad about every two years.....please help. I enjoy riding my Polaris 700, but I am ready to do some serious riding again!

Welcome to the forums heat01.

If you have the old CDI, put it on and see how it runs. Probably the easiest way to check that.

If you don't have it, they have stock ones on ebay pretty cheap.

Or, if someone knows all the ins and outs of checking an aftermarket CDI, that would be good too.

the big gun CDI is made by procom. with that being said, i'm surprised it has lasted that long. I have went though about 4 in one year. GARBAGE! I just got my dynatek in today. as soon as i get the engine back together i'm putting it on.
