Default Eiger lift questions

Living in northern nevada where most of the riding is in very rocky and steep country I was considering getting some taller tires/wheels for my Eiger 4X4 to help with ground clearance. My questions are:

How tall of a tire/wheel can I go without needing a lift kit, and still not have a rubbing issue?

With a lift kit, would it also raise the CG making it more prone to rolling?

Would the taller tires have an adverse effect on the bearings or drive train?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Very difficult question, a lot of measuring would be involved I would think.
Of course it would be more prone to roll-over!
And taller tires should have no impact on bearings and drive train. I would probably go with a killer undercarriage and boot protector package and some new shoes. I would not recommend a lift kit you would probably be asking for trouble on certain terrain. IMO only

Taller tires will cause a loss in power. How much depends upon how big of a tire you get. I'd rather spend the cash on some good skid plates and have the power to climb the rocks.

I'm running 26" and there's probably room for 27". You definitely need to do a few mods or you'll feel the power you are losing to spin the bigger tire.

Thanks everyone for the input. Took the quad up into some really rough stuff yesterday and she got me through it without a problem with the stock configuration. I did hit the cheap plastic skid plates a few times and I can see where the plastic plate needs to go away in favor of metal.

Having the 5 speed trans the taller tires probably wouldn't create to much of a problem in the power department, but raising the CG where it would be easier to roll wouldn't be a good thing.

Thanks again for the info.
