z400 backfire

Default z400 backfire

Hey I just got a 03 z400 in my sig. it seems to backfire when I decelerate. Just wondering what you guys think could cause this and how I could fix it. also how can I make my z lower is there some settings on the shocks I can change? thanks

Richen up the fuel screws until the pop stops

where is the fuel screw at on the carb and how do I richen it up?

If it's a MIC carb (???) then it will be on the side of the carb by the idle screw. I don't have a Z so I can't say what carb they put on it but that is your problem.

hey anybody seen or used lowering kits on their Z400? Are these any good?

it says not to jump on them but will it be alright for light jumping? like 5-6 ft? its just too tall feels like its gonna tip around the corners

does that lower the ground clearance or just the bike itself because it barely has any clearance in the rear as it is

and also will they be alright on rocky trails nothin real extreme just a few rocks?
