looking for front shocks for my '86 quadracer
#1
I'm looking to replace the front shocks in my '86 quad racer. I don't want oem but the only aftermarket ones i can find are around 1400 bucks. Does any one have any good recomendations?

Hey, I know what you mean...who wants to spend tons of money on shock unless you race?
I have a '88 Quadracer and I put on Honda 400 ex shocks, front and back. The back one is way to hard, but the front ones are pretty good, better than what I had anyway. I picked them up on ebay for like 20 bucks. It was worth it for me ie. "not a racer" you know what I mean. I do wonder if a 300 ex rear shock would be softer??? I'll have to give it a try.
Good luck

Shocks are pretty easy to put on, however not all shocks will fit yours. Measure the distance between the two mounts, and the width of the mounts. Then try to cross reference other quads shocks to see if they match your requirement. Also, cruse around this forum to see if anyone else has made this swap.
Good luck
