Just picked up an 80's model suzuki 250cc quad runner Blue in color

where is the oil fill and dip stick or how do you chk the oil fill?

also where is the vin and model numbers located on the fame and motor

There is a sight glass on the right hand side motor case looks like a gear can be seen or ?

any help would be great as to I don't know what year it is

Well found the vin and oil fill after a very good washing down , mud so thick.

It was located on right rear frame and the fill was built in the rear end, and took 3 qts to fill.

Next question is how to tell what year it is from the vin or how to decode the vin number

OIL GOES IN IN THE REAREND????? wTF?

 

Yeah , oil goes in near the rear tranny is all connected and took 3 qts to show up in the sight glass.

 

Quad runner may be different, but my quadsport only takes a bit over 2 qts after filter n all.

 

I got a 230 quad runner and it takes bout 1 1/2 qts
