i have an 89 suzuki 250r. i was riding it and it bogged and died. pop started it and rode good for about 30 more seconds and died again. now it wont start or even pop start. it has good gas, not flooded, its getting spark and the plug is clean. i checked the carb cleaned it completly and the floats slide freely... i cant figure this out

Maybe a reed broke.
Maybe the plug isn't firing under compression.

This atv doesnt have a timing chain.I would put a new spark plug in it for starts. Is the carb getting gas(check your fuel lines and make sure they flow freely).I guess you cleaned both jets(pilot & main) when you cleaned carb.these other guys are right, you should check compression and your reed valve.good luck
