LTR450 Squeaky Rear Rotor.. HELP please.
#1
Just bought a new LTR450 about a week ago, rode it once this past sunday.
Now there is a horrible metal against metal noise coming from the back rotor area whenever i simply push the quad forward or pull it backwards (in neutral)... as well as when i drive it.
I was searching on some other forums, and all i found was either a bent rotor or adjusting the parking brake. From what i can see, the rotor is not bent, and i dont know how to go about adjusting the parking brake.
Any suggestions or links would help.
Thanks in advance guys.

Yea...I agree with deanZ check for small gravel or rocks embeded in your brake pads and check the rotor. You may have to lightly scuff your pads and rotor to remove any dirt. Good Luck!!

Its bent, betting 20 bucks on it. Mine did the same thing from 2 weeks after I picked up mine brand new, and I finally took it off and spun the rotor, and its bent. The brakes could be hanging up, but id put money on its bent already. Typical of suzuki brake rotors.

what would be the easiest way to diagnose this or rule it out?

Prop the rear end up and spin the axle, look real close at the rotor where it meats the brake pads, is a start.
You may of just wore out your brake pads down to the metal backing. That's what could be causing the grinding sound. If your parking brake wasn't adjusted properly, you could of been dragging the the brakes while riding and wore the pads out.
