how do it do it i got to book but i want to hear from someone else is it hard? by the way i have a lt23ge. thanks

What do you mean? Sounds like you're working on an axle differential for a car?

no not for a car for a atv i have shaft drive and yes it is on the axle the bevle gears

I guess mention of the 230 threw me off. I was thinking chain drive.

I've done a few car axles with good success. Wasn't too hard. Here's a pic of my dana 44. I put new yukon gears on a detroit locker. Just need some paint and some shims.

ok but the big round gear is sitting to low so wear would i shim it

You can either shim the big round gear left or right, not up or down. And the pinion gear in and out, not up or down.
